MS's software is only on Windows Update - I can't find any other MS download/information page corresponding with it. I am ignoring it, but from this I assume that Dell's _G11AWeb32924EN.exe and the MS update are not the same thing and that the MS update supersedes _G11AWeb32924EN.exe. The MS Windows Update website is now listing it's AIO-924 update again. I know I could just leave things as they are but I don't like "loose ends". The above errors have now stopped :smileyhappy: and I am monitoring the printer behavior - it is OK so far. Now some better news! I recently uninstalled all AIO-924 software and replaced it by installing Dell's software: _G11AWeb32924EN.exe (version G11a, A02) from the Dell drivers download website for this printer. However, by piecing together various bits, I am guessing (I am no Windows ICT expert) it may be something to do with the fact that the service "Human Interface Device Access" (hidserv) is disabled (I don't know by what or why). I can't find anything that matches my circumstances. I have searched the internet for clues to it's cause. The following entries are listed in the XP(PRO) System Event Log:ĭescription: The server, in the XP Event Log, represents the local service "dlcc_device" which looks like it is part of the AIO-924 driver/operation software. There isn't any consistent printer malfunction - just random failures to respond to any one of the expected operations. I wish to flag it up again and would be very grateful if anyone can shed some light on this update, especially as I have experienced malfunctions since installing it. I didn't get a reply :smileysad: so I am still in the dark about the MS update for this printer.
